The UTC Program Competition 2022-2026 is a grant opportunity established under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which allows the Secretary of Transportation to provide funds to eligible non-profit higher education institutions for creating and running University Transportation Centers (UTCs). These Centers can include two-year institutions and require a consortium of at least two universities located in the U.S., its territories, or Tribal lands.
The U.S. Department of Transportation will manage this program and is inviting competitive grant applications for three types of UTCs: National UTCs, Regional UTCs, and Tier 1 UTCs. Each Center must secure matching funds, with National and Regional UTCs needing to match the full grant amount and Tier 1 UTCs required to match 50 percent.
